About ME
Hi, I'm Emma
I am first and foremost a mum to two gorgeous, energetic and creative young boys.
I am also a passionate Early Childhood trained and fully registered teacher with over 20 years experience in both childcare settings and primary schools.
The vast majority of my experience has been in teaching Prep to Grade 3 in primary schools around England, New Zealand and Australia. I have also spent time designing and writing curriculum for schools in First Nations communities in Far North Queensland.
I started running family day care sessions in 2016 as well as playgroups and workshops around Brisbane for children aged 0- 5 years. Over time, this has morphed into something more - a business with the goal of providing children and their families with high quality, holistic education alternatives.
It is my dream to provide young children with a range of educational experiences in which allow them to follow their interests and fall in love with the joy of learning.

The Flourish Philosophy
We are dedicated to supporting and developing children’s well-being, curiosities, strengths and interests in a small, warm and nurturing learning environment.
We believe children thrive when they are engaged in experiences that evoke a sense of joy, creativity and wonderment and nurture their whole being - body, mind and spirit.
Children are innately curious and interactive learners, and thrive when absorbed in authentic and playful experiences that are developmentally appropriate.
Our aim is to provide young children with holistic educational experiences that help children to flourish.
Our Pedagogy
Pedagogy is the art and science of teaching. It is the lens through which our curriculum is taught. Through purposeful play and investigation, Flourish children will develop a passion for learning that empowers them to become life long learners.
